The Worldcoin Foundation, a blockchain-based, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the use and development of Worldcoin cryptocurrency, is pleased to announce the launch of the Worldcoin Community Grants Program: Wave 0.
This program, worth up to $5 million, will provide grants and awards to the most deserving Worldcoin-focused projects, initiatives, and organizations. The grants will span across all corners of the Worldcoin ecosystem, from startup businesses, to developers, miners, investors, economic research groups, and more.
By developing the network and ecosystem around Worldcoin, the Worldcoin Foundation aims to provide powerful economic and social benefits to users and supporters. Through the Community Grants Program, the Worldcoin Foundation will be empowering the most promising projects and organizations to help drive Worldcoin forward.
The Worldcoin Community Grants Program: Wave 0 will begin taking registrations October 1, 2018. Any project, initiative, or organization that is focused on Worldcoin’s future growth, development, or adoption can apply for funding.
Results from the grant applications will be announced no later than December 31, 2018 and grants will be awarded by December 31, 2019.
