House Judiciary investigating whether Fulton County DA Fani Willis ‘coordinated’ with Jan 6 committee

The US House Judiciary Committee has opened an investigation into whether Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis “coordinated or collaborated” with the Democratic-led committee investigating the January 6 insurrection at the US Capitol. The investigation is in response to a letter sent to Willis on March 4 by Committee Chairman Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) and Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA). In the letter, the lawmakers asked Willis to provide “all documents and communications related to requests or discussions” between her office and the House committee investigating the Jan 6 attack. They also asked if Willis had provided the committee with any documents or information related to the siege. While there is no evidence that Willis or anyone in her office provided the committee with such material, the lawmakers wanted to ascertain if any unauthorized coordination had taken place.
