What sea level rise will look like in cities that have hosted climate summits

As global temperatures continue to rise due to human activities, a number of cities that have hosted past climate summits are experiencing significant sea level rise, leading to coastal flooding and shoreline erosion. In some cities, such as Anchorage, Alaska and Tuvalu, catastrophic flooding has already occurred due to sea level rise. In other cities with past climate summits, such as Beirut, Lebanon and Miami, Florida, sea levels are expected to rise by at least two feet by 2100. This rise in sea level will create major problems for many cities, including flooding of low-lying and heavily populated areas, erosion of shoreline infrastructure, water contamination, and coastal storm surge. In cities around the world where climate summits have been held, cities must work together to develop solutions to address sea level rise and better protect their population from extreme weather events.
